- In 1986 Tekstilbank was founded by the Akın Group of Companies.
- In 1992, GSD Foreign Trade, Co. purchased a 30 pct stake in Tekstilbank, which has then been transferred to its parent company GSD Holding in 1996.
- In 2002, GSD Holding acquiring Akın Groups stake in Tekstilbank became the major shareholder with 74.79 % share.
- Since 1990, 25.21% of Tekstilbank shares are traded in the ISE (Istanbul Stock Exchange).
- In 2005, GSD Holding increased its stake in Tekstilbank to 75,44% from 74.79%.
- Rest of (24,56%) Tekstilbank shares are traded in the ISE (Istanbul Stock Exchange)
